MAN OF MANY COSTUME CHANGES RETURNS TO RIVERCENTER COMEDY CLUB by: Greta Golding, Vicarious New York
November 23, 2008 – San Antonio, TX – The comedian who according to Outwards Magazine has "more costume changes than a Diana Ross routine" returned to Rivercenter Comedy Club in downtown San Antonio, Texas from November 5-9, 2008 for seven performances. Comedians Dave May, Jay LaFarr and Buddy Fitzpatrick from HBO's hit series "The Sopranos" also performed. For more information visit www.getjaded.com or www.rivercentercomedyclub.com.
A 1950's spaceman, a Vegas lounge lizard, a gay-pride uniform and full Marie Antoinette regalia were just a few of the fashions showcased by Estrada for his third engagement at Rivercenter Comedy Club recently.
"I laughed so hard! I enjoyed his performance tonight," said Patrice Broderick who attended a Saturday night performance. "Jade Esteban Estrada and comedy are the perfect couple!" raved Dallas-based comedian James Ponce.
"Wayne Harper and Ken Slavin watch your back. Triple-threat comedian Jade Esteban Estrada is vying hard for the title of Mr. Entertainment," writes Hector Saldana of the San Antonio Express-News. "You'll laugh your butts off when Jade Esteban Estrada takes the stage," warns Out Magazine.
Estrada's last performance at Rivercenter Comedy Club was in July 2008. The Canadian-based comedy web site The Comedy Green Room named Estrada the 'Comic of the Week' in September.
A new star on the film festival circuit, he recently walked away with the award for Best Comedy at the Seguin Film and Arts Festival for his comedic documentary "Ennis Does Southtown" and hosted the 19th Annual South Florida GLAAD Media Awards for the Bravo Network.
Past television credits include "The Graham Norton Effect" (Comedy Central) and "30 Rock" (NBC). He recently made a cameo appearance on the popular animated web series "War Dawgz."
Estrada will return to San Antonio for a pre-New Year's Eve bash when he headlines "A Slice of Comedy" at the Enchilada Warehouse on Saturday, December 27, 2008.
